PARIS (AP) -Bordeaux missed the chance to provisionally move into second place in the French league on Friday when it was held to a 1-1 draw at home to Lille.
Midfielder Ludovic Obraniak, who set up Poland's equalizer in Wednesday's 1-1 draw with England, scored in the 20th minute when he headed in Brazilian defender Mariano's cross from close range. That looked to be enough until Lille center half Marko Basa headed home the equalizer from a free kick three minutes into injury time.
Bordeaux remains in fourth spot, one point behind second-place Paris Saint-Germain and four behind French leader Marseille ahead of this weekend's matches.
Lille, the French champion two seasons ago, has won only two league games from nine and is languishing in 10th spot.
Both teams went close early on, with former Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou firing just wide for Lille and striker Yoann Gouffran hitting the post for Bordeaux.
Bordeaux goalkeeper Cedric Carrasso kept out Kalou's effort just before the interval, and then denied Lille forward Nolan Roux in the 87th with another fine stop.
PSG hosts Reims on Saturday, while Marseille travels to play last-place Troyes on Sunday.
