Porto beats Dynamo Kiev 3-2 in Champions League

PORTO, Portugal (AP) -Jackson Martinez scored in each half to help FC Porto to a 3-2 win over Dynamo Kiev on Wednesday for the Portuguese club's third straight win in the Champions League.

The Colombian striker tapped in a low cross from Lucho Gonzalez in the 78th for victory after the visitors had twice equalized to get back into the game.

Porto stayed top of Group A with nine points after victories over Dinamo Zagreb and Paris Saint-Germain. Kiev has one win and two losses.

Silvestre Varela put Porto ahead in the 15th, firing a powerful shot from the edge of the area, as Porto kept its opponent pinned back.

Oleh Gusev headed in a corner to level five minutes later before Martinez burst into the area and met a chip from James Rodriguez for his first goal of the competition in the 36th.

The game was more evenly balanced in the second half, and there were few goal-scoring chances until Ideye Brown grabbed a spectacular equalizer in the 72nd. The Nigerian ran into the Porto area, controlled a chip from Andriy Yarmolenko with his chest and volleyed home from close range.
