LONDON (AP) -Arsenal left it late to overcome 10-man Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, with Mikel Arteta scrambling in a goal to clinch a 1-0 victory in the Premier League.
Arsenal had a man-advantage after Stephane M'Bia was sent off in the 80th minute, and Arteta prodded home the winner four minutes later to halt a run of consecutive losses in the Premier League and Champions League.
Midfielder Jack Wilshere also successfully returned after 17 months out of Premier League action as the Gunners climbed from ninth to fourth.
QPR remains rooted to the bottom without a win after nine matches.
Also Saturday, Wigan beat West Ham 2-1, Reading drew 3-3 with Fulham, Sunderland held Stoke 0-0, and Aston Villa drew 1-1 with Norwich.
Champion Manchester City hosts Swansea in the late match.
