CARSON, Calif. (AP) - Mike Magee scored on a pass from Robbie Keane in the 83rd minute, and the Los Angeles Galaxy hurt Seattle's playoff position with a 1-0 victory over the Sounders on Sunday night in the MLS regular-season finale.

Josh Saunders also earned his ninth shutout for the defending league champion Galaxy, who got a late goal from a veteran substitute to win a game with much more importance for Seattle.

Los Angeles already was locked into fourth place in the Western Conference. The Galaxy will host the Vancouver Whitecaps on Thursday night in a one-game knockout playoff for the right to face top-seeded San Jose in the conference semifinals.

The loss left Seattle in third place in the West with 56 points, allowing Real Salt Lake to finish second with 57 points.

A win or tie would have put the Sounders into the second slot, but Salt Lake will have home-field advantage in the second game of their conference semifinal.

After a lively game featuring numerous near-misses by both offenses, Magee scored from just outside the penalty area when the Sounders left him unmarked. Magee easily converted a pass from Keane, who capped his standout second half of the season with several near-goals and the decisive assist.

FC DALLAS 2, CHIVAS USA 2

FRISCO, Texas (AP) - Laurent Courtois and Juan Agudelo scored in stoppage game to lift Chivas USA into the tie with FC Dallas in the season finale for both clubs.

Chivas USA (7-18-9) closed the season with a franchise-record winless streak of 14 games. It was outscored 37-10 during the 0-10-4 finish, leaving it last in the Western Conference.

Courtois scored his first goal of the season in the 90th minute to trim FC Dallas' lead to 2-1. Courtois, who entered in the 80th minute, received a short pass from Ben Zemanski and his soft chip shot from 15 yards out slipped past goalkeeper Kevin Hartman just inside the left post.

Then, moments after Castillo was denied by goalkeeper Tim Melia, Chivas USA completed the comeback when Agudelo scored in the 94th minute.

Jackson put FC Dallas in front with his fourth goal in the 73rd minute. Castillo tacked on his sixth goal in the 80th minute.
