SAfrica's foreign-based players return for Zambia

JOHANNESBURG (AP) -South Africa recalled Belgium-based pair Darren Keet and Anele Ngcongca for next week's friendly with African champion Zambia.

Coach Gordon Igesund picked Keet as one of only two goalkeepers in his squad of 24 announced Monday for the game at Soccer City next Wednesday. Genk defender Ngcongca was selected for the first time under Igesund.

Former Tottenham defender Bongani Khumalo is captain after Steven Pienaar's retirement from international football. Midfield pair Kagisho Dikgacoi and Dean Furman, who both play in England, also were included.

The game will likely be used by both coaches as an important preparation for next year's African Cup in South Africa.

Igesund says "this is probably the last chance for a lot of players, especially the overseas-based players, to impress."
