GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) -Gary Hooper scored twice as Celtic swept to a 4-0 victory over Dundee United in the Scottish Premier League on Tuesday.
A transfer target for Norwich in the English Premier League, Hooper opened the scoring in the 19th minute, set up by Georgios Samaras. Midfielder Victor Wanyama headed in Celtic's second before the break.
Hooper struck again 10 minutes from time, his 22nd goal of the season, before lining up substitute Scott Brown for the fourth.
Celtic is now 12 points clear at the top, although second-place Inverness has a game in hand.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon said: "Norwich came in with an improved offer, if you can call it that. It was rejected immediately...I am pretty confident that on the 1st of February Gary will be a Celtic player."
