Jets give RB Ivory $10M deal, plan to feature new acquisition

The Jets acquired Chris Ivory from the Saints for a fourth-round pick on Friday and are expecting him to be a feature back for them.

Ivory had signed his one-year restricted free-agent tender with New Orleans, but the Jets have signed him to a three-year, $10 million deal.

Ivory is a powerful runner who shined in a limited role in New Orleans but was stuck in a deep backfield. The Jets have been looking for an upgrade at running back all off-season, and it is a significant area of need.
