Video: Peter Hanson nearly takes out Angel Cabrera, who isn't even on the same hole

By Shane Bacon | Blogger

We've all been there. Playing a round of golf, you mishit a golf shot only to look up and realize it's heading directly at the guys in the other fairway. You scream, "Fore!," walk over to apologize and go about your day. It's part of the game, really, and while it's embarrassing, we all know our abilities and understand it happens.

But for PGA Tour pros? Nah, that never happens, right? You'll see guys stick out their arms or yell at fans lining the fairway, but to nearly smoke the guys in the group in front of you? Never.

That is, unless you're Peter Hanson, and you hit one of those s-words that we can't talk about. It happened on Friday at the PGA Championship, when Hanson nearly took out Angel Cabrera on the 7th tee.

Nobody seemed to scream for the group to watch out, which was one of the reasons you see a couple of the caddies walk out of the picture (I caddied a few times on the LPGA Tour for a buddy, and what I realized is something like this is never the player's fault, always the player's caddie, so I'm assuming Hanson's looper got an earful from these guys), but luckily nobody got hit and everyone went about their day.

My only question is if Hanson plans to buy Cabrera some flowers after the round.
