Video: Anna Schultz makes hole-in-one to end her Senior Women's Amateur match

By Shane Bacon | Blogger

A hole-in-one is among the coolest and rarest feats in golf, but to do it to win a match?

Anna Schultz, meet Jonathan Byrd.

The 54-year-old Schultz was playing in her second-round match at the Senior Women's Amateur at Hershey (Pa.) Country Club and was 2-up with two holes to play against Corey Weworski when her tee shot on the 17th hole did what every golfer dreams of it doing.

As you can see above, the ball landed on the front portion of the green, rolled out and disappeared for the match-clinching ace.

"You always dream of this," Schultz told the USGA. "I was trying to hit the green because I was 2-up with two to go, and I put it in the middle of the green and it fed right to the hole."

The magic might have stopped there, with Schultz losing her third round match later Tuesday, but the hole-in-one put her in rare company with the likes of Byrd, who aced the fourth playoff hole at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospital for Children Open in 2010 in Las Vegas to win the event on the spot.
