Monday afternoon marks the last you'll see of Tiger Woods for the next three weeks (unless you live in his Florida neighborhood, that is).

Tournament director Steve John officially announced today that Woods would not be playing in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, a tournament he elected to participate in last year.

Surely it wasn't the 75 he shot when paired with Phil Mickelson in the final round in 2012 that's deterring him from a return to Pebble?

Doubtful, he probably just wants some time off after a full first few weeks spanning the globe.

He won't be participating in the Northern Trust Open, either according to caddie Joe LaCava.

According to this Golf.com post, Woods has had a few issues in the past with the Pebble Pro-Am:

He won the AT&T in 2000, with a memorable Monday comeback, but he soon grew disenchanted with the bumpy poa annua greens. Sketchy weather, long rounds and celebrity-driven crowds probably didn't help.

Regardless, we won't see him again until the Accenture Match Play Championship on Feb. 20-24 in Arizona, where he and Rory McIlroy will continue (or start?) their rivalry.
