This is what it looks like to meet your idol.

On Monday, Asia-Pacific Amateur champ Guan Tianlang met and played a practice round with his childhood hero, Tiger Woods, at Augusta National.

Guan has looked up to Woods for a while now and played with him in a pro-am before. He told Sky Sports:

When I was three or four years old I was looking at him (Woods) winning the Masters and it's pretty exciting to watch him.

Woods won the last three of his four Masters titles in 2001, 2002 and 2005.

A few facts on the 14-year-old Guan:

  • He wasn't even conceived when Woods won his first Masters in 1997.
  • He was three when Woods won in 2001 and four when Woods won in 2002.
  • He is the youngest Masters participant ever by two years.
Guan played one practice round with Ben Crenshaw on Monday morning and another with Woods and Dustin Johnson in the afternoon. The differences were stark.

Guan told ESPN his dream Augusta foursome would be Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, and ... Tiger Woods.

He's a little young for those kinds of dreams to already start coming true.
