Justin Rose took some time Tuesday morning to talk to CBS Sports' On the Range about Augusta, his swing, and what he's looking forward to at the Masters.

Rose contradicted what Rory McIlroy said last week when McIlroy talked about only caring about the majors.

Here's what Rose said:

I started my PGA Tour career winning Jack [Nicklaus'] tournament then Tiger [Woods'] tournament then a playoff event at WGC so I guess there's nowhere to go other than the majors now.

I'm not solely focused on the majors entirely just yet, I think I can become a more prolific winner, a better player still. But absolutely, I do feel like my game is now ready to win a major but there's still lots more outside of them for me to achieve in the game.

I think Rose is ready to win a major, too. He's competed well here in the past (eighth in 2012, 11th in 2011, and fifth in 2007) and has his putter going at the right time.

At least I hope so anyway.
