This much you already know: Nobody loves Augusta like Phil Mickelson loves Augusta.

One of my favorite Masters quotes ever came from Hunter Mahan last year when he talked about how everybody loves the Masters but nobody loves the Masters like Phil.

Mickelson reiterated that today:

"There's not one thing that's going to make me more excited for the upcoming Masters.

"To be in the thick of it, to feel that excitement. To grace Amen Corner knowing you need birdies and trying to win a green jacket, that is the greatest thrill a golfer can possibly experience."

Then, on whether or not there was a reason why left-handed golfers (Mickelson, Bubba Watson, Mike Weir) have won five of the last 10 green jackets:

"We're certainly cooler."

On Tiger Woods being "back":

"It does have the feel of what we expect from Tiger."

Finally on what the course looks like this year:

"The grass is in incredible shape. Every year we come out and talk about how pristine Augusta is. The areas that have historically had problems are not having problems. They're perfect."

No, you're perfect, Phil. Perfect for this tournament, perfect for this week, perfect for this sport.

Now go figure out what clubs you're going to put in your bag.
