Tianlang Guan is a few hours away from having a cut streak going on the PGA Tour.

The 14-year-old fired a 3-under-par 69 on Friday after a 72 on Thursday for a two-round total of 3 under. The cut right now is at 2 under and likely won't move to 4 under on Friday afternoon as the course is playing pretty tough. Guan will almost definitely make the cut.

Guan's thoughts on his performance, just like his game, were simple. Here's what he told Golf Channel about probably making the cut after finishing up on Friday:

"I'm not too surprised... I think I did pretty good today."

Well, of course. This is totally normal. Fourteen-year-olds usually make two straight PGA Tour cuts in their first two outings!

Guan has now gone six straight PGA Tour rounds without making anything worse than a bogey. His round on Friday included five birdies and just two bogeys -- he shot a 34 on the back nine.

There's a lot of hyperbole flying around on Twitter and other places online. Well, when this is the history you're chasing, it's probably a little bit deserved:

The way he's doing it is pretty incredible, too. His flat stick was scorching in Augusta, and it hasn't cooled off since. According to PGATour.com, Guan is averaging just 256 yards off the tee. And all but one of his birdies came on par-4 holes!

Guan was sitting better than golfers like Keegan Bradley, James Hahn and Cameron Tringale. He was ahead of a host of other golfers as well, but many had not completed their second rounds as Guan was one of the first to go off on Friday.

Other pros are impressed, too:

Here are Guan's highlights from Thursday:
