On Monday, after NBA player Jason Collins revealed to Sports Illustrated that he is a gay athlete, Chris Broussard of ESPN had some commentary that has been pretty heavily picked apart by many members of the sports media.

Broussard said:

"I'm a Christian. I don't agree with homosexuality. I think it's a sin, as I think all sex outside of marriage between a man and a woman is.

"I believe that's walking in open rebellion to God and to Jesus Christ. I would not characterize that person as a Christian because I do not think the Bible would characterize them as a Christian."

2012 Master champion Bubba Watson responded Tuesday to Broussard's thoughts on Twitter:

Watson is one of the most outspoken Christians on the PGA Tour and hasn't shied away in the past from a good controversial topic. This one on homosexuality seems to be no different.
