Honestly, I love this. There's so much chumminess on the PGA Tour these days (and with good reason, as these guys are on the road for dozens of weeks throughout the year) that it's wonderful to see an old-school throwback feud.
First, Garcia claimed Woods was intentionally trying to create noise in the gallery during his swing at the second hole.
Then, Woods responded after his round:
Tiger on Sergio incident; "Not real surprising he's complaining about something"— Ryan Lavner (@RyanLavnerGC) May 12, 2013
And Sergio fired back:
Sergio, upon hearing Tiger's comments: "it's fine. At least I'm true to myself."— Ryan Lavner (@RyanLavnerGC) May 12, 2013
Then Woods again:
Tiger then asked if he talked to Sergio about the incident: "We didn't do a lot of talking."— Ryan Lavner (@RyanLavnerGC) May 12, 2013
I can almost feel the disdain oozing from these two from my home in Dallas.
If there's a golf god, not only will we get three more holes out of them on Sunday morning but they'll be paired together again for round four.
Please, make it happen.
