Here's how the records for most wins at each major championship looks right now heading into the 2013 US Open:

Jack Nicklaus - 6
Tiger Woods - 4
Arnold Palmer - 4

US Open

Willie Anderson - 4
Bobby Jones - 4
Jack Nicklaus - 4
Ben Hogan - 4
Tiger Woods - 3
Hale Irwin - 3

British Open

Harry Vardon - 6
Tom Watson - 5
John Henry Taylor - 5
James Braid - 5
Peter Thomson - 5
Bobby Locke - 4
Walter Hagen - 4
Willie Park Sr. - 4
Tom Morris Sr. - 4
Tom Morris Jr. - 4
Tiger Woods - 3
Eight others - 3

PGA Championship

Walter Hagen - 5
Jack Nicklaus - 5
Tiger Woods - 4

It's a little bit weird to me that Woods isn't even tied for the most championships at any of the four majors. If he wins the US Open this year it will be the first time in his life someone won't have more wins at a given major than he has. Same goes for the PGA Championship later on this year.

And how about that British Open list? I forgot Tom Watson won five (!) titles and if it weren't for Stewart Cink, would have had a sixth.

The fact that Woods hasn't dominated a specific major more than any other (think Rafa Nadal at the French Open) makes the arc of his career even more impressive.

If he can just unhook himself from No. 14.
