Tiger Woods has not won a major championship in quite a long time. If you follow golf you presumably were already aware of this. But to put some context around how long it's really been I decided to take a look at how long he's sat on each major he's won since that first Masters in 1997.

He's had droughts before (see: 2002 US Open to 2005 Masters) but nothing even approaching this one.

Here's a look at Woods' 14 majors and the number of days until his next one:

MajorDays held until next major ...Analysis

1997 Masters

854The first one ... crazy to think he didn't win another for two years.

1999 PGA

308The Sergio one; that sure feels like forever ago.

2000 US Open

35The scary one. He won by 15 at Pebble.

2000 British Open

2835 days later he won the British Open.

2000 PGA

23128 days later he won the PGA Championship. 2000 was a good year, wasn't it?

2001 Masters

371The Tiger Slam.

2002 Masters

63At this point it felt like he might win all the Masters' for the rest of his career.

2002 US Open

1,029The one at Bethpage Black.

2005 Masters

98This was the Chris DiMarco one. He sat on that 2002 US Open for a long time.

2005 British Open

371The fourth time he waited fewer than 100 days to win another major.

2006 British Open

28DiMarco finished second in this one, too.

2006 PGA

357Fifth time he won a major by five or more strokes.

2007 PGA

309The one in Tulsa against Woody Austin.

2008 US Open

1,821...It's been a while since that 19-hole playoff win over Rocco Mediate.
