This was not the US Open of Tiger Woods' dreams.

In fact, from Friday on it was pretty much a nightmare.

According to Justin Ray of ESPN, Woods' 13-over score is his worst ever at a US Open when playing all four rounds, "beating" his 12-over score from 2006 at Winged Foot.

It was also his worst score ever in relation to par in a major in his career.

Tiger's putter failed him over and over again this week. He noted that after his third round.

"I just couldn't get a feel for them. Some putts were slow, some were fast, and I had a tough time getting my speed right."

And that was before a final-round 74 that included four bogeys and a triple bogey.

The 74 was his 21st score over 70 in 24 chances since losing to Y.E. Yang in the 2009 PGA Championship.

Johnny Miller also noted that Woods carded 21 bogeys or worse throughout the week which, obviously, just isn't going to get it done.

Woods will now try to regroup for the British Open at Muirfield in a month.

His major drought is now 1,826 days ...

... and counting.
