A PGA Tour pro was arrested on Sunday at Palm Beach (Fla.) International Airport on charges of carrying a concealed weapon.

The man's name -- I'm not making this up -- is Kris Blanks.

Blanks is 299th on the all-time PGA Tour money list, having made just more than $3 million over the course of eight seasons. He lives near Palm Beach, in the town of Jupiter, and was catching a flight to Charlotte, N.C.

According to the Palm Beach Post "a Transportation Safety Administration officer found a .40-caliber Glock 27 with eight rounds in the magazine" in his carry-on bag as he tried to go through security.

Blanks said he forgot to take the gun out of his bag after a road trip the week before. He was later released after posting $3,000 bond.

That might not be the thing that I would have wanted to forget to take out of my bag. Dirty laundry? OK, whatever. An already-read book? Fine. DVDs that I've already seen 29 times? No problem. A Glock 27 with eight rounds in it? Uh, oh.

Blanks has never won a PGA Tour event and has finished second twice, most recently at the 2011 Canadian Open.
