On Wednesday PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem and Jack Nicklaus announced that the 2015 Presidents Cup will be played at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea, located in the Songdo International Business District (IBD), Incheon, Korea.

This will be the first trip to Asia for this event which pits golfers from around the world (excluding Europeans) against the United States and takes place every two years. This year's event is at Muirfield Village -- another Nicklaus course.

Mayor Song Young-Gil of Incheon City is stoked to be bringing the popular event to his city.

"We are extremely pleased and honored to be the first city in Asia to be selected as host of The Presidents Cup."

The location of the competition rotates every two years but the international versions of the event have been held in Australia (twice), Canada, and South Africa thus far.

The 2013 Presidents Cup will be played at the beginning of October. Nick Price and Fred Couples are the captains for each side. The US has only lost once since the competition started in 1994.
