The shot above by Shaun Micheel at Oak Hill in 2003 at the PGA Championship, it really was one of the all-time greatest shots on the 72nd hole of a major.

At the time Micheel led Chad Campbell by one and was trying to hang on to his first PGA Tour win.

Here's what he said after the tournament:

"I really can't believe this is happening to me. I showed up here on Tuesday to play a practice round and saw how difficult the golf course was. I was just trying to make the cut. I probably would have been happy with that."

The win was also his last on Tour. In fact, according to PGATour.com he has played 378 times and won exactly once. That's 112 more starts than the next closest guy on the "only won once on Tour but that win was a major" list.

In fact, since he won at Oak Hill he's only made 10 of 22 cuts at the four majors.

In 2005, two years after his win it was discovered that he was battling low testestorone which was making him tired on the course and fatigued easily. After that he started taking medication and actually finished second to Tiger Woods at the 2006 PGA Championship.

No top 10s at majors since then though.

Actually, that second in 2006 is one of only two other top three finishes in PGA Tour events.

Micheel has played more Web.com tournaments this season than he has PGA Tour events (he struggles to get into PGA Tour fields) and not made the cut of any of them.

He recently played Oak Hill again though, in preparation to defend his Oak Hill title. He told his caddie that round in 2003 was unforgettable.

"I remember every single shot from the last round. It's just great memories.”

So, you know, he'll probably win again this week.
