Tiger Woods played a practice round at TPC Boston on Thursday in preparation for the upcoming Deutsche Bank Championship and according to multiple reports his questionable back (which bothered him at The Barclays) looked quite good.

Ryan Lavner of Golf Channel followed Woods around the course on Thursday and said he looked completely recovered.

"Woods teed off in the 6:50 a.m. group in the Deutsche Bank Championship pro-am and looked, well, like a golfer without a back injury."

He was even swining like old Tiger used to swing.

"On an overcast, chilly morning, Woods warmed up for about 20 minutes, and then teed it up, taking a few mighty cuts without any noticeable wincing or grimacing."

So why the quick recovery? Well, maybe Woods was dramatizing the injury last weekend (as he tends to do at times) or maybe he just needed a little rest and relaxation before hitting the course again.

"According to a source, Woods received 'normal treatment' for his injury in recent days, which included stretching, heat and massage."

Either way it's a good thing that Woods is feeling better. Golf is more exciting when he plays and no matter how you feel about him personally, it's pretty hard to deny that opinion.

Woods finished third at this tournament in 2012.
