This new column by GolfDigest is a really cool -- albeit not new -- concept. Basically they get a PGA Tour pro to write anonymously about his fellow pros and what life is really like on the PGA Tour.
Because that's exactly what we all want to know, right? How much money would you pay for, say, Steve Stricker to write a tell-all about Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson's money games, what Vijay Singh is really like, and the, uh, crowds some of the younger guys attract?
All of your money? Yes, me too.
But back to the issue at hand.
This pro wrote in this month's GolfDigest about who he is (kind of), golf entourages, and the difference between being a millionaire and a washed-up hack.
But the juicy stuff came at the end when he compared Ian Poulter's logo to a penis.
No really, he did. Said pro started talking about personal branding which led to talking about logos which led to talking about Poulter:
"Which isn't to say there aren't some questionable logos out there. If you ask me, I think Ian Poulter's logo looks like a part of the male anatomy. I mean, seriously, look at that thing sometime and tell me you're not seeing what I'm seeing."
I have to say I laughed a lot, though I'm not sure Poulter will be.
