Man tried to bring gun into BMW Championship

Well this is terrifying. According to CBS Chicago a man tried to bring a gun into the BMW Championship for the final round on Monday.

A 48-year-old man was carrying a concealed weapon which is a problem at sporting events (obviously) but also a problem in the state of Illinois.

"Though Illinois recently passed a concealed carry law, it has yet to take effect, and no one has been issued a concealed carry permit. Illinois State Police are still working on certifying instructors for the firearms training people must take to get a permit."

Prosecutors were considering felony charges for the man.

Good on the PGA Tour for putting measures in place to stop stuff like this before anything crazy happens. Also, Mr. 48-year-old man, why are you bringing a gun to a golf event for any reason other than the fact that you're crazy?
