True to form Tiger Woods grinded at the Tour Championship until the bitter end.

Woods was only under par for the entire tournament for three of the 72 holes he played at East Lake. When you finish last in total driving and ball striking for the week, I guess that's to be expected.

A final-round 67 left Woods at even par for the tournament and he will likely not break into the top 20 (of 30 participants).

Woods was just never in it this week -- he looked tired (as so many of the golfers did) after playing four tournaments in five weeks to end the 2013 PGA Tour season.

Woods did share a nice moment with his daughter Sam following his round but that was likely the highlight for him over the last four days.

His golf was better on Sunday though, as evidenced by the smattering of birdies he poured in -- scores that just weren't there the first three days.

Here's a look at his card:

So maybe Woods just ran out of gas at the end of a long year or, as Jason Sobel pointed out, maybe PGA Tour officials just need to extend this event:

Woods ends the season as the PGA Tour money winner as well as the only golfer with more than two wins (he had five). He was the most complete player on Tour all year (even without a major win).

I don't think his season will be remembered as a great one, and maybe it wasn't, but I think it will be historically underrated when we look back in 10 or 15 years.

He came up empty again in his quest to catch Jack Nicklaus but, as always, he left us clamoring for more.
