Back in June a Grovetown, Georgia woman named Lexie Hollingsworth found a 1935 Masters program while helping her friend clean out her belongings.

At the time a 1935 program had just auctioned off for $12,000 in April so Lexie told the Augusta Chronicle she was going to try and fetch the same figure for her program (I'm not sure why she got to keep it and not her friend).

"It's for sale," she said. "All offers considered."

All offers were definitely considered and the program recently sold for $12,158.95 on greenjacketauctions.com.

The bidding started at $500 but just 26 bids later the program was pushing $13,000.

One reason this program is considered so rare and valuable is that according to that Augusta Chronicle article, the Masters produced programs for 1934 and 1935 but then didn't produce another one until 1990.

I actually have a poster displaying a replica of the 1935 program cover -- it only cost me $20 though. I feel like both I and the bidder of the original item got pretty good deals.
