The Presidents Cup will get under way on Thursday with best-ball match play. On Wednesday, Nick Price and Fred Couples announced their sides.

One of the better parts of the Presidents Cup is how the team captains sit across from each other in a room and alternate picking their pairings for the matches. Price went first and threw out Graham DeLaet and Jason Day and Couples answered with Brandt Snedeker and Hunter Mahan.

There's so much strategy going on in a 10-minute period that the event of picking the teams themselves is stressful.

Regardless, we have some good matchups. Here they are:

Match 1

US: Brandt Snedeker and Hunter Mahan
International: Graham DeLaet and Jason Day

Match 2

US: Webb Simpson and Bill Haas
International: Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama

Match 3

US: Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley
International: Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel

Match 4

US: Steve Stricker and Jordan Spieth
International: Ernie Els and Brendon de Jonge

Match 5

US: Matt Kuchar and Tiger Woods
International: Angel Cabrera and Marc Leishman

Match 6

US: Jason Dufner and Zach Johnson
International: Branden Grace and Richard Sterne

That Schwartzel-Oosthuizen vs. Mickelson-Bradley match will be spectacular. Four of the most talented players in the world squaring of at Jack Nicklaus' course? Yes, I'll take that please.

Also, Scott and Matsuyama are grossly talented. Simpson and Haas should have their hands full.

Kuchar and Woods playing together is good for both of them. They get along well and should be a good duo. I fully expect them to beat Cabrera and Leishman.

I don't love Stricker being paired with Spieth. You could have switched Stricker and Zach Johnson and let Stricker and Dufner bore people to death and Johnson and Spieth fist pump their way to victory.

The matches will start at 11:45 a.m. Eastern.
