The Day One matches are set and the US side is favored in all six of them. The Thursday play will be four-ball (you take the lowest individual score from your pairing) and all 12 golfers from each team will be competing.

A quick refresher on how these lines should be read since we don't normally do these kinds of lines in golf. If a pairing is -155 to win that means you have to bet $155 on them to win $100. If a pairing is +200 to win that means you only have to bet $100 to win $200.

OK, let's jump in.

Match 1

US: Hunter Mahan and Brandt Snedeker (-155)
International: Graham DeLaet and Jason Day (+135)

Thoughts: This is great value on the International Team. Snedeker and Mahan don't exactly scream "great at match play" and Day is a killer.

Match 2

US: Bill Haas and Webb Simpson (-115)
International: Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama (-105)

Thoughts: I'm not real sure why Simpson and Haas are favored here. I'd take Scott on his own over both of them.

Match 3

US: Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley (-160)
International: Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen (+140)

Thoughts: You knew Bradley and Mickelson were going to be heavy favorites but you didn't expect them to be this heavy of a favorite over Schwartzel and Oosthuizen.

Match 4

US: Steve Stricker and Jordan Spieth (-150)
International: Ernie Els and Brendon de Jonge (+130)

Thoughts: Do you think when Jordan Spieth started his season in January he thought he'd be a favorite over Ernie Els in the Presidents Cup in October?

Match 5

US: Matt Kuchar and Tiger Woods (-185)
International: Angel Cabrera and Marc Leishman (+165)

Thoughts: More good value here. Woods and Kuchar should win handily -- they played with and absolutely smoked Stricker and Spieth in a practice round on Wednesday -- but who wants to go against Cabrera? Not me.

Match 6

US: Jason Dufner and Zach Johnson (-150)
International: Branden Grace and Richard Sterne (+130)

Thoughts: Dufner and Johnson is an odd pairing to me -- like Couples ran out of people and had to put the last two guys he had together in a match. I like them to win but I'm more intrigued to see how they interact.
