UPDATE (5:02 p.m. Eastern): Play will resume at 5:45 p.m. Eastern.

For shame the rains came in Biblical fashion on Friday at the Presidents Cup.

There were some great matches underway with Keegan Bradley and Phil Mickelson rolling along again and Ernie Els and Brendon de Jonge unable to make anything but birdie, seemingly.

Also Tiger Woods and Matt Kuchar and Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen combined for seven total birdies in just five holes through their match.

But then the rain came -- as it usually has this season -- and the players were sent back to the clubhouse until it passed.

Unfortunately it hasn't yet which means they likely won't get in the full session on Friday and potentially won't go back out on the course again.

We'll keep you updated on this page with what Muirfield Village officials decide and if and/or when they decide to resume play again.
