Brian Wacker of PGATour.com posted an incredibly compelling interview with Adam Scott's caddie Steve Williams on Tuesday.

Williams talks about what he regrets most (it involved Raymond Floyd and No. 17 at Augusta), how he almost turned down Tiger's request, why he's shutting it down full-time after 2014, and what Tiger's best moment was.

He gives a pretty convincing case for why his favorite moment is Scott's made putt on No. 10 at the Masters to beat Angel Cabrera in 2013 and lastly he tells about how he was fired by Greg Norman and Tiger Woods.

He said that everyone thinks Tiger fired him at the 2011 AT&T National but it actually happened after Williams caddied for Scott at the US Open that year.

"Adam heard Tiger pulled out and wondered where I was. I phoned Tiger about it and he said, 'No problem.' After some thought, though, he didn't agree with it. Tiger changed his mind. Well, I'd already told Adam I would be there. I wasn't prepared to ring Adam up and say I can't do it. I'm a man of my word. I had no idea I was going to get fired over it. I also hadn't worked a lot. Not that I needed the money, but I wanted to work. I was told (by Tiger) after U.S. Open that I no longer had a job and it's as simple as that."

Pretty fascinating stuff. He said it never really got heated but he wanted the truth to be out there.

Williams tells a lot of other amazing stories (mostly about the Masters). The entire interview is a fantastic read.
