I get it.
Hes's 23, French, has great hair, and apparently stole Seve Ballesteros' wedge set while we weren't looking. But even still I didn't expect this kind of love for Victor Dubuisson from his fellow competitors and even a few patriarchs of the game.
I mean, Paul McGinley and Graeme McDowell all but put him on the Ryder Cup team already!
Here's European Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley on Dubuisson's Ryder Cup status: "If he was 90 percent before ths week, he is 99 percent now. With all the evidence we have seen this week, I think he will be a very welcome addition to the team."
Then on Twitter:
This is beyond absurd. @Vdubush is Houdini and Copperfield all in one.— Jerry Foltz (@JerryFoltzGC) February 24, 2014
That was an incredible up and down by @Vdubush and then just saw the up and down on the first extra hole. Simply outrageous.— Ian Poulter (@IanJamesPoulter) February 23, 2014
Some serious desert golf being played out there by @Vdubush— Rickie Fowler (@RickieFowlerPGA) February 24, 2014
Those may be the two best escape shots I've ever seen. Allez Victor. #rydercup2014— Graeme McDowell (@Graeme_McDowell) February 23, 2014
Two of the greatest up-and/downs I have ever seen Victor!!!— Tom Watson (@TomWatsonPGA) February 24, 2014
From the desert, off a rock, sitting on a cactus, over the grandstand, to 30ft. Routine par.— Jason Dufner (@JasonDufner) February 23, 2014
