Anybody can pick a favorite (I am) but it takes some stones to go with somebody outside of the betting top five or 10, especially at an event like the Masters.

But if you look at the past seven Masters, we've had some unconventional winners. Five of those were outside the world top 15 coming to Augusta.

Here are five guys who fit that mold this year:

1. Lee Westwood (50-1): With Tiger Woods out of the tournament you could argue that Westwood has been the most consistent performer at Augusta in the past five years -- four straight top 15s and an average 13th-place finish. That's strong.

2. Nick Watney (80-1): One of only eight golfers to make the cut at each of the past five Masters. Not sure if he has the goods to close but at least you know he'll be in it.

3. Marc Leishman (100-1): Had a front-row seat last year for countryman Adam Scott's big win. Leishman actually led for a while last year after making his first cut at Augusta. Followed that up with a T12 at the PGA Championship and I think Leishman has a major in him.

4. Fred Couples (150-1): Why not?! As Adam Sarson and @nolayingup pointed out, Couples and Westwood are the only two guys with top 15s in each of the past four majors. Somebody get him something for his back and let's finish this thing off.

5. Thorbjorn Olesen (100-1): Olesen finished eighth in his first-ever Masters in 2013. I'm not a fan of picking young, inexperienced guys to win green jackets but if you're going to take a big-time flyer on somebody, he's a good pick.
