Matt Jones wins Houston Open with long chip in playoff

Matt Jones and Matt Kuchar only played six shots of a playoff after Jones chipped in on his third on the 18th hole.

Kuchar had just bogeyed the same hole in regulation and Jones had birdied it to get into the playoff.

After Jones hit his second shot short he ran that crazy lengthy chip up and it curled in the cup for his first PGA Tour win.

What a finish.

Jones told NBC's Steve Sands after his round that he "has a lot of [Masters] tickets to buy" for friends and family.

Clearly still a rookie at this.

But a good one.
