We're getting farther and farther away from the "this has something to do with golf" narrative but I have to admit, this parody (are we calling it that?) of the Paulina Gretzky Golf Digest cover made me laugh.
An Orlando-based photographer who goes by the moniker Cy Cyr asked nine of his closest friends to recreate the Gretzky cover shoot. The results were predictably hysterical.
My favorite is the first one, the guy just to the right of Gretzky. That guy is basically saying "I do not care. At all."
As for the cover itself, I think as a coverer of golf things I'm required to have a hot take about whether or not it was journalistically inappropriate for Golf Digest to put Gretzky on the cover.
But I don't.
I just don't care about it. If that's what Golf Digest wants to do then great -- I don't know why everyone has to cover it like it's a presidential election or something. It's not. It's just a golf magazine and a cover and it's supposed to be fun (just like the parody of it).
