Caroline Wozniacki ditched her pink hair on Sundy at Augusta and Rory McIlroy responded with his best round of the week.

Nike's No. 2 (or No. 1 this week, I guess) shot a 3-under 69 that had the potential to be so much more.

McIlroy got it going in the middle of his round when he birdied four of five holes and after a crushed drive on the eagle-able 13th you started to maybe think...and then boom, into Rae's Creek for bogey and the dream was over.

He went on to bogey No. 15 as well but birdied Nos. 14 and 16 to to even things out.

Here's a look at his card:

McIlroy's 69 might sneak him into the top 10 (he was T10 when he finished) -- which would be a first for him at Augusta. He finishes the week at even par.

The former world No. 1 was again undone by one errant round. This year it was a Friday 77 that nearly left him outside the cutline. He's now had a 77 or worse in each of his last five tournaments.

So a disappointing week, again, for McIlroy but it still feels like his game is in a better place than last season. He'll build on this and start looking to Pinehurst soon.
