What's that? You don't care about two-time champs and 20-year-old phenoms and one of the most exciting first 63 holes of the Masters we've had in years?

You, like Bubba Watson's son, are here for Tiger?

Well I have good news, and I have bad news. There is an update, but it's not great.

On Monday morning, Woods' former Stanford teammate, longtime friend, and Golf Channel analyst Notah Begay told Tiki Barber, Brandon Tierney, and Dana Jacobson on CBS Sports Radio he doesn't expect to see Woods until after the US Open.

"I've dealt with back injury and nerve damage," said Begay. "It's like having a constant toothache 24 hours a day. He's just at the point where something needed to be done.

"It's all going to matter on the rehab. And I think he needs to give it a minimum of 90 days, in my opinion. To make sure that scar tissue heals up appropriately and he doesn't re-injure it."

The British Open is in 94 days, in case you were wondering.

I agree with Begay, I'd actually be surprised if we see him before the PGA Championship.

The British Open with it's neck-high rough and sometimes-freezing conditions does not sounds like the greatest place to rehab a bad back.
