According to Google, Tiger Woods is the most popular athlete in Vermont

I have to admit, I sort of love this analysis.

Best Tickets Blog did a quick study recently based on Google searches across the United States to find out who the most popular athlete in each state is.

It's a rudimentary look based on Google searches, and they admit that, but that doesn't mean it isn't fascinating.

Understandably LeBron James took the top slot in the majority of states and Peyton Manning, Adrian Peterson, and Kobe Bryant took most of the rest. But hey that famous golfer guy took the Green Mountain State.

That's right, Tiger Woods is the most popular athlete in one state, Vermont.

Woods is the only athlete who doesn't play one of the big four American sports.
