What a difference a...day...makes?

Brendon de Jonge shot a tournament-worst 80 on Thursday and sat in last place after Peter Hanson, who also shot 80, withdrew. So what did de Jonge do on Friday?

He went out and gave himself an 18-foot putt on the last hole for a course-record 61.

De Jonge missed it but still tied the course record (held by Rory McIlroy) of 62. Here's a look at his scorecard from Thursday:

And now Friday:

No birdies on Thursday and no bogeys on Friday. The strange part is his swing on No. 14. He double bogeyed it on Thursday and eagled it on Friday.

Golf is funny.
