Adam Scott is going to do it, isn't he?
Scott needs a top 16 to pass Tiger Woods for the No. 1 spot in the world this week at the Players Championship and he moved up 29 spots (and counting) into the top 30 at the time he finished up his 3-under 69 on Saturday.
The Australian won't win this week at TPC Sawgrass but the drama will be there on Sunday as he tries to fire something low to keep on moving up to that coveted top 16 spot.
His 69 on Saturday was a tad bumpy as he made six birdies and three bogeys to nine pars on the day. Still, 3 under on a windy day is 3 under on a windy day.

Scott will keep things entertaining before the leaders tee off on Sunday afternoon. I think he needs to get to shoot a 68 to have a shot. Also, he needs to keep Henrik Stenson from finishing in the top six.
Rory McIlroy (3 under): McIlroy, like Scott, barely made the cut but moved up with a nice little 69 early on Saturday. With a little luck he'll get another of those backdoor top 10s he hates.
Brandt Snedeker (5 under): Snedeker's rounds just keep getting better. He went 75 on Thursday, 69 on Friday, and 67 on Saturday. At this rate he'll shoot a 64 on Sunday. Unfortunately it probably won't matter.
Justin Rose (5 under): Rose was all over the place at times on Saturday but he stayed steady and has an outside chance with a spectacular round on Sunday.
Sergio Garcia (9 under): The Spaniard yanked a putt on the 17th green and made bogey but he still shot a slick 69. He'll be heard from on Sunday, one way or another.
Bubba Watson (5 under): Bubba should easily best his finish ever at this course on Sunday.
