Miguel Angel Jimenez wins Spanish Open, remains awesome

If that photo of Miguel Angel Jimenez isn't the epitome of Miguel Angel Jimenez, then I don't know what is.

Sitting on his latest trophy, blowing a stogie, basking in life. It's perfect.

Jimenez won the Spanish Open on Sunday and in doing so reset his own record of the oldest winner in European Tour history.

He turned 50 in January.

And like his beloved red wine, Jimenez seems to just keep getting better with age.

The Spaniard shot a 73 to get into a playoff then took home the trophy with a par on the first hole while his competitors made bogey.

He was understandably thrilled afterwards.

"There's no words to describe what it means to me, you need to be into my skin but I'm not going to let you!" Jimenez said.

When he was asked for the secret to why he's been good for so long, Jimenez gave a predictable answer.

"There is no secret. Good food, good wine, good cigars and some exercise!"

The win, the 21st of Jimenez's on the European Tour, will likely catapult him onto the European Ryder Cup team, a noted goal of Jimenez's all season.

Tha, probably more than the win, will be meaningful to Jimenez.

"I would love to make The Ryder Cup team, I would break all the records at 50," said Jimenez. "I hope I can make the team and defend the European colours in Scotland."

Not only did golf's most interesting man win on Sunday but we all won as well because a Ryder Cup with this man is much better than one without:
