According to TigerWoods.com, Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the 2014 US Open.

"Unfortunately, I won't be there because I'm not yet physically able to play competitive golf," said Woods on his website.

This isn't much of a surprise to anyone but this is the first time it's been made publicly official by Woods.

It's the sixth major of Woods' career he will miss due to injury and his second US Open in four years.

Now all eyes will turn to Hoylake in July to see whether or not Woods can make his return to golf by the time the British Open rolls around.

I'm betting "no" but you know what happens when you bet against Tiger.
