Happy US Open qualifying day, everyone!

There are 54 spots up for grabs in US Open sectional qualifying Monday and over 750 golfers trying to get them. Thirty-six holes to get into the US Open.

It's one of the wildest, wackiest days of the golf season and you can follow along all day here.

Here are your big storylines:

1. Jason Gore played in the final group at the 2005 US Open at Pinehurst with Retief Goosen. He'll play Monday at Daly City, Calif.

2. Todd Miller is Johnny Miller's son. That would be crazy and fun. He'll also play Daly City.

3. Lion Kim has the best name of anyone trying to qualify. He played in the 2011 Masters. He'll play Vero Beach, Fla.

4. Sean Moore is the assistant pro at Pinehurst No. 8. Think he knows the course well? Moore will play Roswell, Ga.

5. Patrick Cantlay is in the Jordan Spieth/Patrick Reed mold. He has so much game, just hasn't made it yet. He'll play Rockville, Md.

6. At 60, Bob Ford is the oldest golfer to get through to sectional qualifying this year. He tied for 26th at the 1983 US Open. He'll play Purchase, N.Y.

7. Lee Janzen has two US Open titles to his name (one of only 18 golfers ever). He'll also play Purchase, N.Y.

8. The list of golfers in Columbus, Ohio, is insane: Ricky Barnes, Paul Casey, K.J. Choi, Trevor Immelman, Davis Love III, Justin Leonard, Vijay Singh, Mike Weir and Bo Van Pelt. Good luck, amateurs!

9. Ditto Memphis. Here's the list: David Duval, Chad Campbell, Tim Clark, Scott Langley and David Toms.
