Rory McIlroy is the favorite to win the US Open

With Tiger Woods withdrawing the US Open odds have shaken up a bit at the top. Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott are the big favorites with a pair of Masters contenders coming in right behind them.

Also, Phil Mickelson is in the mix per the usual.

Here's a look (all odds courtesy of Bovada):

Favorites

Rory McIlroy: 8-1
Adam Scott: 11-1
Phil Mickelson: 14-1

Other favorites

Bubba Watson: 20-1
Jordan Spieth: 20-1
Justin Rose: 22-1
Matt Kuchar: 22-1
Henrik Stenson: 25-1
Jason Day: 25-1
Sergio Garcia: 25-1
Dustin Johnson: 28-1
Lee Westwood: 28-1
Martin Kaymer: 28-1

Fringe favorites

Jim Furyk: 33-1
Luke Donald: 33-1
Graeme McDowell: 40-1
Hunter Mahan: 40-1
Jason Dufner: 40-1
Zach Johnson: 40-1

Everyone else

Brandt Snedeker: 50-1
Charl Schwartzel: 50-1
Hideki Matsuyama: 50-1
Jimmy Walker: 50-1
Keegan Bradley: 50-1
Rickie Fowler: 50-1
Webb Simpson: 50-1

The best value has to be Kaymer at 28-1, Dufner at 40-1, or Matsuyama at 50-1. Those are the ones that jump out at me initially. The Duf has finished top five at each of the last two US Opens and even though he hasn't played great this season, he got it going at Colonial a few weekends ago.

If I had to pick a favorite, I'd pick McIlroy. Pinehurst is going to be long, long, long and he likes it like that.

"I hear it's going to be a long, long golf course, which I'm looking forward to," said McIlroy. "I don't mind that at all, getting driver in the hand, and a long golf course, it would suit me."

For a dark horse give me Harris English at 66-1. One of my friends who used to caddie for someone you've heard of swears English is going to win multiple US Opens in his career. This year would be a good jump start.
