What Georgia alums are doing on the PGA Tour is insane

The college golf season is officially over but that doesn't mean the competition on the PGA Tour between alums is any less fierce.

It's not an official stat, though Nick Mazzella is trying hard to change that, but total money earned by college is interesting nonetheless.

Mazzella runs the excellent Rivals Cup which tracks how much money is earned by alums in a given week on the PGA Tour.

Here are his top 10 schools by total money earned this season:

Georgia has more than doubled every other school! That's pretty incredible given the histories of some of those schools right behind it.

You can see the rest of the totals here.

That $17 million includes wins by six different UGA golfers and two by Bubba Watson, including that rather large one in north Georgia.

Shortly after Georgia alum Brendon Todd won the Byron Nelson, Mazella wrote this about what Georgia is doing:

"The list of superlatives for the Georgia Bulldogs on the PGA Tour is growing to urban legend status."

It's true and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
