The 2014 US Open groups have been released and there are some awesome groups to follow for the first two rounds of the tournament.

Tiger Woods will not be involved, as you're probably aware, but lots of other monster names should figure prominently.

Here are the five best groups to follow for the first two rounds (all times Eastern).

1. Sergio Garcia, Brandt Snedeker, Jason Day (7:18 a.m. on Thursday): Just a tremendous group of golfers here. Maybe not the huge names some are looking for but if I was at the tournament this is the group I would try to follow.

2. Webb Simpson, Graeme McDowell, Rory McIlroy (7:40 a.m.): Oh, hey three of the past four US Open winners, welcome to your Thursday and Friday tee times.

3. Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, Hideki Matsuyama (8:13 a.m.): Quite a group of youngsters here. Fowler is the old man of the group! These three have all the talent in the world and Fowler and Matsuyama both finished in the top 10 last year.

4. Justin Rose, Phil Mickelson, Matthew Fitzpatrick (7:51 a.m.): The defending Open champs from each side of the pond and the low amateur at last year's British Open. Should be a fun trio.

5. Miguel Angel Jimenez, Ian Poulter, Thongchai Jaidee (7:51 a.m.): I don't even know what to say about these three. The USGA had some fun this year.

6. Bubba Watson, Charl Schwartzel, Adam Scott (1:25 p.m.): My winner is going to come out of this big-boy group. Schwartzel and Scott own two of the five or so prettiest swings on tour and Bubba owns a swing, that's all I can say.

7. Jason Dufner, Martin Kaymer, Keegan Bradley (1:47 p.m.): Three of the past four PGA Championship winners here. Golf is always more fun when Dufner and Keegan are playing together.

8. Lee Westwood, Henrik Stenson, Matt Kuchar (7:29 a.m.): Lots of ball-striking fun with these three. Also, two of the top five golfers in the world sneaked into the same group.
