Michelle Wie's US Women's Open victory overshadowed it (and the US soccer game against Portugal overshadowed both of them) but Kevin Streelman made himself a little bit of history on Sunday at the Travelers Championship.

Streelman shot a back-nine 28 (not a typo!) as he closed with seven straight birdies to win by one stroke over K.J. Choi and Sergio Garcia.

He called his shot, too.

And according to Justin Ray it's the first time anyone has ever birdied the last seven holes of a tournament to win.

Also, this is true.

And this might be the craziest stat I've seen all year.

Though it was Streelman who, after his historic round (and two 64s on the weekend), summed it up best.

"It was just one of those days where I felt like I couldn't miss."
