Tennessee man makes aces on back-to-back days

A man in Johnson City, Tenn., did something last week that had a one-in-5.7 million chance of happening.

He made holes-in-one in successive days.

Dean McPherson had never made an ace in his life until he made two last week, using a pitching wedge and a four-hybrid on two different par-3s on two different courses.

"It was crazy," said McPherson. "The first one was really fun, but the second one, we almost couldn't believe it."

The first one was the pitching wedge -- a short 125-yard par 3 hole. The second, he said, was a 180-yard bomb.

"When I turned around, seeing their faces was were as cool as seeing the ball going in," he said. "We all threw our clubs in the air. If we had a video, we could sell it."

According to the National Hole-In-One Association the odds of such an event are one-in-5.7 million so that was quite a 24-hour stretch for McPherson.
