Let's talk about the Scottish Open.

You might be looking up the PGA Tour schedule and see the John Deere Classic circled on this week's calendar but let's forget about the John Deere Classic for a minute.

The Scottish Open is going to be awesome because the kind of golf played in Scotland is almost always better than the kind of golf not played in Scotland. Also, Royal Aberdeen, the site of the Scottish Open, is the sixth oldest course on earth and it is absolutely beautiful.

The field is loaded, too.

Everyone seems to following in Phil Mickelson's 2013 footsteps and using the tournament as a primer for the main event next week, the British Open.

Rory McIlroy, Phil Mickelson, Luke Donald, Ian Poulter, Rickie Fowler, Luke Donald, Jimmy Walker, Victor Dubuisson, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Thomas Bjorn, Louis Oosthuizen, and Ernie Els are playing.

That's awesome.

And if we get a finish like we had last year, I mean, can you imagine?

Also, never forget this moment.
