This story gives a new meaning to the term "water hazard."

According to the Calgary Sun a golf pro at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club named Josh Gardner watched a man drive a van into a pond on his course and start to drown in the van before jumping in to save him.

"I swam in through the driver's side window and got his seatbelt off," he said. "The water was coming in strong, it was up to his chest."

Gardner eventually dragged him out and the man was taken to the hospital. No word yet on whether or not it was Tom Watson after taking a look at his Ryder Cup squad for September.

We're guessing it wasn't.

Anyway, Gardner explains where he was mentally.

"I didn't think twice, I just knew he was going down and someone had to get in the water and help him," he said. "It's a great feeling (to have helped save him), but I just did what anybody would do."

A pro in every sense of the word.
